We offer a range of programs, including special education, English language development, gifted education, and counseling services to support diverse student needs.
Safety is our top priority. We have secure campus entry points, regular emergency drills, and on-site staff trained in emergency response. Our visitor management system ensures that all guests are signed in and monitored.
Our K-8 school day typically begins with supervision at 7:45 a.m. and supervision ends at 3:15 p.m. School hours are 8:25-2:50. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend offers an after-school program at Fort Braden. Enrollment must be completed and approved by the Club before a student may attend. For enrollment, availability, and program hours, call the school office at 850-488-9374 for help reaching the Club.
For EDEP cycle dates and EDEP payment information, visit our EDEP information page. Boys & Girls Club enrollment is separate from EDEP payment information.
Boys & Girls Club enrollment: Apply through the Club Parent Portal. The official Fort Braden Club listing serves students ages 6 and up who attend Fort Braden. For enrollment help, availability, and current program hours, call 850-656-8100, extension 1005.
Registration is straightforward and can be done online or in person at the school office. Required documents include proof of residence, birth certificate, and immunization records. Please contact our Registrar, Ms. Emily King.
We welcome family involvement! Parents can volunteer in classrooms, join the PTO, participate in SAC meetings, participate in Title 1 family nights, or attend school events. Your involvement strengthens our school community and supports your child's learning experience.
Technology is integrated to enhance learning, with resources such as interactive whiteboards, tablets, and educational software that support students' digital literacy and engagement.
This group is designed to allow our school to interact with individuals who are not already directly connected to our students or the broader community. Please use this to create a "Guest" account in our system! Note: If you are a contact for a student who may not have custodial rights (Step-Parent, Grandparent, Relative, Guardian, etc. ), you will need to join this group before attempting to join any group through a shared QR code/Link from a teacher, athletic coach, or EDEP Director.
